ON BEING A WOMAN
SOUL MATTERS

Where Do I Go From Here?

What a wild crazy, full life we live.  We're too busy to think most of the time.  We go on rote.  We multi-task and even brag about it.  Makes me wonder if this life style we have become accustom to is not part of a much bigger plan to actually keep us from thinking. Sound crazy?  Keep reading!

With stacks and stacks of things to do, places to go, friends to entertain, movies to see, books to read, deadlines to meet, meals to cook, children to raise, and vacations that are a must,  when is there ever time for "soul matters".  Oh, maybe we attend our religious functions and socialize with 'good' people, but is that all there is? When do we really sit and think about where we're headed? There is an end to this mad race. When was the last time you thought about that?

I believe there is a God that created this world, that created me and has a plan for my life.  Roman 1:20 tells us plainly that God has revealed what He is like in and through His creation. So there will be no excuse when this life is over for any of us to say, "I didn't know." That has to be a scary thought to anyone who does not personally know God.  Read on.

Francis Chan has written a book, CRAZY LOVE, that will  give you a whole new perspective about God!  He says we have an inaccurate view of God, that we see Him as a benevolent Being who is satisfied when people manage to fit Him into their lives in some small way.  We forget that God never has an identity crisis.  He knows that He's great and deserves to be the center of our lives.  That is why He never begs us to give Him some small part of ourselves.   It's all or nothing with Him. As Chan says, "The God of the universe-the Creator of nitrogen and pine needles, galaxies and E-minor, loves us with a radical, unconditional, self-sacrificing love.  And what is our typical response? We go to church, sing songs, and try not to cuss."

If there is something missing deep inside your heart, then it's time you spend some of the moments of your life, searching out its real meaning, soul matters.  One hundred years from now, that automobile, that to-die for home, that job or life dream  won't be worth what you had to pay for it, unless you have settled the great question, "Where do I go from here?"

I urge you to make a bee line to your favorite book store and get the book, CRAZY LOVE~Overwhelmed By A Relentless God.  It's about living life radically and as author Chan says,  "because when you are wildly in love with someone, it changes everything!"

"Intellectually we all know that we will die, but we do not really know it in the sense that the knowledge becomes a part of us.  We do not really know it in the sense of living as though it were true.  On the contrary, we tend to live as though our life will go on forever."
