ON BEING A WOMAN

Old Anna

By Antje Hill

I have stories to tell, will you listen?

I have memories galore to share.

It’s  stories I cherish so dearly.

About life, love and troubles we bear.

A life lived is quite an experience

Each has a story to tell.

We pass this way only once

Perhaps I can help steady  your sail.

For you  see, life doesn’t just happen.

There’s a definite reason we’re  here.

At my age, I see more clearly

I travel now without fear.

You see, we all are God’s children.

We’re to lend a hand when we can

I have stories to tell. Will you listen?

We’re part of a much bigger plan.

I have stories to tell. Will you listen?

If you won’t, you lose, not I.

I am only hoping to help you

‘Til we understand better by and by.
