I love the different seasons. Just as you think you can't take the heat of summer any longer, it winds down. There's not a lot of difference at first, just a few degrees cooler and  nighttime comes a little quicker. Soon there will be crispness in the  air and we will grab a light jacket as we rush out the door.

No matter the season, there is always something to keep us busy, maybe busier than we should be.  We all need times of reflection, especially reflections on our relationships.  As we do this, if you are like me, I  always see  room for improvement. Here I tell of life lessons I have learned  in my relationships, in my marriage and parenting There's also much on  self esteem. I also tell of how  life became easier when I started taking 'Soul Matters' seriously.

Relationships matter. Whether it  spousal, parental, friends or spiritual, relationships have to be right for us to enjoy  other things. When we learn to toast the people in your life, not for what they do, but for who they are, life becomes lighter and more enjoyable.   Nothing, absolutely nothing,  is more important than the relationships that make up your life right now.

"Most true happiness comes from one's inner life, from the disposition of the mind and soul. Admittedly, a good inner life is difficult to achieve, especially in these trying times.
It takes reflection and contemplation and self-discipline."
William L. Shirer
