Soul Matters
Faith Check

Sometimes life can get the best of us. There are times when we feel like giving up.  We feel we are invisible even to our family and friends. If you have had these emotions, let me reassure you, there is Someone that understands us better than we understand ourself. I get my hope and my help in life from my Christian faith.

The Bible is a very important source of strength for me. Don't ask me how printed words can have so much power. But then,  they are not just printed words.  They are God's  love letter. He wants us to know He is crazy about us!  When there is nowhere else to turn, when nothing else can be done in a situation, God's word relieves! God's word strengthens! God's word empowers us to carry on. God's word gives hope.   God's word gives life! I can't explain it, it's just so!

How long has it been since you just sat and noticed the wind in the trees? Have you watched the fluffy clouds as they make their way across the heavens? Will you be a witness to the changing colors of the season this year? No one, absolutely no one can change the order of the seasons. No one can stop Autumn from creeping up or Spring from showing a new green coat. That tells us there truly is Someone in charge of things. There is an order to everything in the universe, including our being here at this particular time. Nature itself tells us God is alive and well,  and that means we are not alone.

You may not believe there is a God above that cares for you. Then, you  would be the first to say life is not worth living.  We are here for only a little while. During our earthly stay, we decide by our choice or by nelecting to choose, who we follow. Think about it.* It is the most important decision you will ever make.

     * The ABC's of Salvation

Romans 3:23   "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
John 3:16       "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Romans 10:9  "If thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thy heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Ephesians 2:8 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by work, so that no one can boast."

Once you asked Jesus Christ to come into your life, to forgive you of your sins and help you live each day to please Him, you will never be alone.  You will never be the same.  Your future will be secure.

I can see how it might be possible for a man to look down upon the earth
and be an atheist,but I cannot conceive how he could look up
into the heavens and say there is no God.
