Easy Does It

O.K.  So you know you are not going to walk away from luscious sweets. We are all there! But if you prepare yourself for those tempting times, it will help.

Anytime you find tips on healthy eating, you will almost always read about the importance of eating breakfast. Protein in the morning is so important because it keeps you feeling full longer.  Healthy carbs are the way to go with some protein.  By now you know the foods that are best in these categories. Did you know  Greek Yogart is great for lean protein.

Watch the "tasting to make sure" there is enough seasoning, sugar, etc. habit.  Nibbles add up to lots and lots of calories! By the time you've made  two  pies, a couple of cakes and three dozen cookies, you could have a real problem.  Make up your mind ahead of time; it looks better in the dish than on your hips. 

No time for exercise?  Park further from the store and make a mad dash to the front door, well,  walk briskly at least!  Swing those arms and carry the packages rather than use  a cart. And don't just not exercise because you don't have time for that thirty minute walk.  Take what you can get. Two ten minute walks are  better than nothing!  

Remember, the brain is very important when it comes to exercise. That's where your choices are made.  Determine right now that you are bigger than any chocolate cookie. You have control over that cookie or eggnog or dressing.  Determine that the coming year is much more important than the moment and you will make whatever changes it takes to be all you were created to be; healthy.
